MISSION 

TO PROMOTE THE GROWTH OF CORNHOLE IN BRITISH COLUMBIA. 

WE WILL USE THE GAME OF CORNHOLE TO OVERCOME SOCIETAL CHALLENGES BY SUPPORTING LEAGUES THAT PROVIDE SAFE, INCLUSIVE SPACES FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES, RACES, ETHNIC ORIGINS, SEXUAL ORIENTATIONS, GENDER, RELIGION, AND SOCIOECONOMIC STATUS.

GOALS 

TO GROW THE GAME IN COMMUNITIES ACROSS BRITISH COLUMBIA, THEN LEVERAGE THE GROWTH TO HELP AND SUPPORT OUR COMMUNITIES. 

TO CREATE A DIVERSE CORNHOLE COMMUNITY, THAT IS NOT ONLY DEDICATED TO GROWING THE GAME BUT BY MAKING A POSITIVE IMPACT ON BRITISH COLUMBIA.

OBJECTIVES

Educating the public about the rules, benefits and enjoyment Cornhole can bring to a person’s life. Establish and support training programs, equipment and funding to ensure people can learn the game of Cornhole. 

Providing and promoting an atmosphere of good spirit, fair play and respect for all event participants. 

Contribute to and promote an atmosphere that encourages and supports a game the entire family can play together. 

Develop and build a structure that promotes youth in learning the game of Cornhole. A structure that provides a low-cost game all ages can play. Expand our network of players, enthusiasts, and organizations. 

Fundraise and provide funding for leagues that support us in achieving our Mission Statement. Provide a vehicle for other groups to use Cornhole as a way to raise money for Charities, organizations, and groups.

Establish Youth Cornhole nights / Youth league nights. Develop &create appropriate funding policies and practices to support the BCA youth initiative. 

Support a High-School Cornhole Tournament in British Columbia High Schools . 

Develop & support a structure that has Cornhole as an intermural sport in British Columbia schools. 

Develop & support a structure that has Cornhole as part of the curriculum in British Columbia schools.

YOUTH INITIATIVE 

The youth initiative is to introduce cornhole to the next generation of cornhole players. 

Any fees charged to the schools will be recorded and made available (as a credit) for the schools to access when requiring financial assistance with their purchase of cornhole boards and bags for their schools or their feeder schools. 

The goal of the Youth program is to have boards and bags in every high school in British Columbia and to be recognized as a school sport. 

In School: 

The BCCA will set up Cornhole boards in the school gymnasium, and cycle through the school’s PE classes. 

The BCCA will give a brief overview of the game, rules of cornhole, style of game play (both single & doubles game play), and how to throw a bag. 

Teachers will be provided a handout with the same information & access to cornhole curriculum resources. The remainder of the class will be time for students to play the game Costs: $500 a day (prorated based on the school's needs)

The sport of cornhole is growing rapidly. Cornhole is widely considered one of the fastest-growing sports in North America. Opportunities that are currently available for all youth to advance in the sport of cornhole include:

American Cornhole League (ACL) American Collegiate & University level competitive and recreational intermural teams (through the ACL). American Cornhole Association (ACO)
